Work underway per County update

Butte County reports vegetation reduction along roughly 12 miles between Magalia and Stirling City. Its September 21 notice sets October 19, 2026 as the target completion date.

This is work in the County road right-of-way. It does not confirm that a private parcel has been cleared or that a home qualifies for insurance.

Finishing work scheduled through October

The Town’s September 29 road update says paving is approaching completion, with striping and other finishing work continuing through October. Elliott Road night paving is listed for October 6; schedules can change.

Check the actual route to the home before a tour. A paved street may still have shoulder, driveway, or marking work ahead.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Chico’s Barber Yard proposal: regional context for Paradise buyers.

CHICO · REGIONAL WATCH
Updated
Proposal under review

NSPR reports plans for up to 1,250 homes at Chico’s former Diamond Match site and a pending LAFCo hearing over off-site stormwater services. The City also posted a cancellation notice for its October 1 Planning Commission meeting.

A proposed development is not available housing. This is regional context for people comparing Chico and Paradise—not a completion date or a prediction of local home values.

UTILITIES & LAND

Sewer planning is moving forward. What does that mean for a parcel?

Planning and design · service is not available through this project yet

The official project page describes design and environmental review underway for a local treatment facility and collection system. A future service-area map is not confirmation of an available connection.

Why this matters to Paradise buyers: investigate the wastewater solution that works for the property today, separately from possible future service.
